Born and raised in Los Angeles CA, Lillian’s art has
been highly influenced by fashion design, vintage Pin-Up art and old Hollywood glamour. The women she paints serve to tempt the viewer yet contain an air of arrogance and pride. The decorative styles of Art Nouveau and Baroque furniture are also investigated in her paintings. These decadent themes are further explored with the additional use of decorative materials. The use of lavish fabrics, thread, crystals and sequence are applied to her works to create a unique illusionary experience for the observer.
